Nurses
Below is a complete list of the nurses currently at the
Fountain Medical Centre.
Sister Ann Hargrave RGN dip hom Trained as RGn at Pinderfields General Hospital.
Ann has worked in general practice for the
last 15 years. She has diplomas in Asthma,
COPD, CHD and minor illness and is also trained
to be a Nurse Prescriber. Ann has also studied
homeopathy for 4 years in London and still
practices as time allows. Outside the practice
she loves singing and is a member of the
Yorkshire Philharmonic Choir. Ann is married
with 2 sons.
Sister Natalie McCarthy RGN Joined
in 1999. She trained in Bradford and has
a RN Diploma qualification with diplomas
in Asthma and CHD. She runs a smoking cessation
clinic for patients and her other clinical
interests include Asthma and CHD. Natalie’s
interests include travelling and supporting
the Leeds Rhinos. She is married with 1 son.
Nurse Practitioner Sally Wilson RGN BSc
(hons) Joined in 2004. Trained in London and at
LGI. Sally was a district nurse before
becoming a practice nurse in 1994. She
is responsible for our CHD, Asthma, Diabetes,
minor illness and family planning clinics.
She recently passed her Nurse Practitioner
qualification. Sally likes keeping fit
and enjoys running.
Christine Townend Clinical Assistant Joined in 2000. She trained as a clinical
support worker in 1997 and has since gained
numerous qualifications and an NVQ in specialised
clinial procedures, and is an expert in
Phlebotomy. Christine assists in the running
of our smoking cessation clinics, and is
a member of our minor surgery and endoscopy
teams. She has a passion for cricket and
is married with two daughters.
