The Practice Teams

Pharmacy Team

We have a Prescribing Pharmacist who forms part of the clinical team working closely a long side the GP’s. Our Pharmacist manages reviews and advises on medication as well as supporting patient care around long term conditions. A pharmacy technician and prescription clerks work together to form part of the pharmacy team.

Physician Associates

Physician Associates work with the clinical team at the practice. They are medically trained, generalist healthcare professionals, who work alongside the rest of the clinical team and provide medical care as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team.

Practice Management

The Managing Director is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology.
Clinical Admin Managers and the Reception Team Leader form part of the management team and work closely together to support the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also help to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Medical Secretaries

Our team of Medical Secretaries process all hospital referrals and also support the clinical and administrative team dealing with correspondence that comes into the practice. They are responsible for overseeing the completion of private reports, such as solicitors and insurance company requests, life assurance, disabled parking badges and HGV medicals.

Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP’s) work form part of the clinical team and are highly qualified nurses that have done additional training and are qualified to Masters Level that enables them to become a primary care provider for patients.

Nursing Team

The practice has a team of Nurses and Health Care Assistants who deal with minor injuries and ailments, travel advice, immunisations and run chronic disease clinics. They are also specially trained to undertake women’s health screening examinations, perform HRT and contraceptive checks and run health promotion clinics and blood tests. Special investigations such as 24 hour blood pressure and ECG monitoring and breathing tests are also provided at the request of a GP.

Reception and Administration

Our Care Navigation and Administrative team are here to help you by processing the huge variety of administrative tasks to ensure the practice runs smoothly. They also run the appointment system as accurately and effectively as possible. The Care Navigation team are on hand to deal with patient queries, both face to face and over the telephone.
