From the 1st of July 2021 we are introducing a new appointment system. This means you may be offered either a telephone consultation or a face to face appointment for routine problems. If your problem is considered urgent you may be contacted by telephone initially before a face to face appointment is arranged, by the clinician, that day. Our care navigation team will explain fully when you ring to book an appointment.
- Importantly, appointments will be released periodically throughout the day so you no longer need to ring at 7am; you can ring later in the day when more will become available for you. The lines are extremely busy at 7am so you may find it helpful to ring later in the morning or afternoon for that reason.
- Appointments will also continue to be available through SystmOnline as usual.
- Unfortunately, due to ever increasing demand, appointments are still very much at a premium and so we kindly request that you only book an appointment where absolutely necessary. This enables us to deal with more important and relevant problems for you. Please expect to be asked some questions about the reason for your appointment from our care navigation team, as they may be able to signpost you to a more suitable service or healthcare provider.
