Carers Week: Make caring Visible, Valued and Supported
(6th – 12th June 2022)
Non-urgent advice: Fountain Medical Centre is supporting Carers week by holding a coffee morning on Tuesday 7 June 10:00am – 12:00noon
We would like to invite you to meet the practice Carers Champions and also some of the team from Carers Leeds and Healthwatch Leeds..
This event is a friendly social drop-in where you can talk to the Carer Support Workers and find out more about the support they provide ‘unpaid carers’
Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don’t think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.
The campaign is brought to life by thousands of individuals and organisations who come together to provide support for carers, run activities, highlight the vital role carers play in our communities and draw attention to just how important caring is.
