Online Appointments Update

We have listened to feedback from our patients and are trialling increasing the availability of GP appointments for patients to book online. We are also making some of our later afternoon appointments bookable online.

We are removing the specification of “telephone” or “face to face” from our online appointment’s description. In addition, we have changed the description to “GP appointment (to book online)” . You can choose whether you prefer to attend in person or not. If you are able, please specify in the appointment reason whether you will be attending in person.

We ask that our patients please continue to avoid attending in person if displaying any symptoms of Covid-19 unless they have a negative lateral flow test. We realise that most of society has gone back to pre-pandemic norms, but many of our patients are vulnerable and we would like to continue to do our best to protect them. For the same reason we ask that our patients continue to wear a face mask when attending the surgery if able.

Extended Access appointments (outside the core hours of 08:00am – 6:30pm) are provided by the Primary Care Network for our patients to have access to evening and weekend pre-bookable appointments. Currently these are available by ringing our reception team, but we are exploring making these available for online booking for our patients. Additionally, there will soon be increased availability of these appointments from early 2023 replacing the extended hours provision previously provided by the practice.
